Assisted in design development for the ITECK (Indigenous Traditional Ecological & Cultural Knowledge) Center, a cultural center promoting indigenous practices. This site plan was submitted to the City of Portland for DD-stage approval, representing future land use of the site — completed independently, with revisions to labeling and coloration based on the partner architect's feedback at Opsis.

Engaged by Savana Studio to produce exterior renderings and select materials for a ground-up commercial building housing a food cart pod on NE Alberta Street. Verified landscape coverage against Portland zoning code (Title 33, CM2) requirements, and built a custom Revit family for the project's food cart equipment to support accurate documentation and coordination.

Contributed to design development and construction documentation for this large-scale healthcare project. Under the guidance of the firm's principal, took responsibility for the first-floor ceiling design — integrating custom acoustic baffle systems, materials, and lighting into a single approved design feature now built into the hospital's public spaces.

A three-story, 19-unit multifamily residential project designed under strict maximum building size constraints, leveraging a detailed understanding of local zoning regulations to optimize livable area while maintaining full compliance with height, lot coverage, and massing limits. Circulation was oriented along the building perimeter, reducing interior corridors and minimizing the overall building footprint — maximizing net rentable square footage while enhancing natural light and ventilation.

Careful coordination of egress, accessibility, and fire separation requirements ensured compliance without compromising spatial quality, resulting in a compact, efficient building that achieves higher unit value within a constrained envelope. Designed to feel like a natural extension of its neighborhood while introducing much-needed housing to a growing area of Portland. Located where a busy commercial street meets a quieter residential setting, the project brings together two three-story buildings with 30 total homes on a consolidated site.

Height limits, setbacks, and other zoning constraints shaped a solution balancing efficiency with livability, while the architecture was developed to reflect the character of Montavilla — blending the energy of nearby storefronts with the scale and rhythm of surrounding homes. A mixed-use building integrating ground-floor retail with upper-level apartments, organized into a vertical rhythm of projecting light-colored massing and recessed darker balcony zones for depth, shade, and a clear residential identity along the street. Large windows and private balconies bring natural light into the units while reinforcing a human-scaled, refined facade.

Transparent retail frontage activates the sidewalk at street level, with a material palette of crisp white cladding, dark brick at the base, and muted accent panels establishing a balanced, durable streetscape.
